I originally did Starship Mine, one of my favorite episodes. But I love the visuals from the Royale. And while the execution wasn't great it was a classic Scifi style story.
Damn awesome Josh! And that goes for your other mysterious saddle action on Starship Mine (indeed, excellent episode :) ! ). Excellent poster treatment. You must've been using this poster treatment as your reference; http://www.geoffreyfalk.com/wp_blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/demotivational-posters-star-trek.jpg :D heh, heh, heh!
I enjoy how your treatments (and I think you should 'officially' post the other one) aren't immediately identifiable as Star Trek.
Very unexpected, that.
This one alternately evokes one of the montages in 'Psycho' (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3012/2872001330_e5a14b5062_o.jpg), as well as having a definite 'Twilight Zone' feel to it (which is absolutely appropriate to that particular episode).

Nice job, boss.
It definitely has a very 60's/Twilight Zone feel to it, I like it.
ReplyDeleteI like the letter treatment on the Starship Mine one as well.
Looks great, and agree with everyone else about the twilight zone feel. Great idea Rich.
